Failure
July 20, 2020
The truth about starting something new is that more than anything, we’re afraid of failing. And not only that, we’re afraid of being seen as ‘a beginner’.
So many people have had good ideas but given up on them because of that irrational fear of failing, but the truth is; failure is necessary.
It teaches you all the ways that you can improve, and helps you find other ways of reaching your intended goal.
The truth is; no one woke up being great. Even your favourite artist had to go through that awkward ‘getting the hang of things’ phase. Everyone has been there.
To borrow the words of Mark Manson; you are not that special!
And I mean that with the most love; you’re not the first person to do something new for the first time.
Most of us are so consumed and paralyzed by the idea of failure that we kill our dreams in our head before we even do anything about it.
I might sound a little repetitive but I’ll say it as many times as it takes to help you understand; EVERYBODY FAILS SOMETIMES.
You learn more about yourself in failure than you do in victory because it helps you see your weak spots, and sometimes, your blind spots.
The most important thing when you encounter failure is to take your L(esson), use that feeling of failure as fuel and march on!
Remember; consistency is key and failure is not the end.
Peace and Love.
